    Why is everybody launching these mp3’s on a share somewhere services?

    What we need is a general purpose cloud storage API.

    If I take a photo on my phone that photo should wherever I need it. It should just happen. It should be in the photo library in my phone. It should be in the photo library on my iPad. It should be in the photo library in my laptop.

    If I play angry birds up to level 10 on my iPhone why is my iPad not already at that level when i pick it up?

    Why doesn’t my twitter client on my iPad know where I left off on my iPhone?

    There needs to be a way to take a chunk of information and store it for the user somewhere. Some easy, low friction, way. Some way that developers will not have to maintain a dedicated server for. A way that users will have a reasonable expectation that the storage of this data will continue even if the developer goes out of business.

    I’m assuming this is what Apples new iCloud gizmo is. Some way to serialize a NSData object to a server somewhere.
